What do Beyoncé, Scarlett Johansson, and Miley Cyrus have in common?

They each have over 10 ear piercings. A growing trend in social media fashion has been just this; multiple ear piercings and earring stacks.

I love adorning my ears in silver and gold, but hated wasting money in the process of buying different earrings online to create a stack that in the end, most likely won't look appealing in a set.

After noticing a gap in the market of businesses that caters to this growing trend, I decided to create my own company. While working at an investment bank from 7am - 5pm in the Sales & Trading division for bonds and derivatives, I began creating IMBER, a jewelry company that focuses on beautifully designed earring stacks.

IMBER's stacks are meticulously designed to ensure that they look beautiful adorning your ears and framing the face. Intricate, elegant, chic and edgy. There are stacks for many occasions and themes; whether it be for weddings, the office or for the Marvel, DC and Harry Potter fans.

Also importantly, two dollars from every order goes to a non-profit called Microlend. They’re an inspiring microfinance organisation that primarily helps women in developing countries lift themselves from an intergenerational poverty, by providing them with business training and a loan to start their own small business.

I hope to continue to grow IMBER into a social venture that creates thoughtful and beautifully designed earring stacks that also help other women in the process. For as stated by Jacqueline Novogratz, the woman who created the very first microfinance bank in Rwanda, “Think of yourself as a bridge extending forward, so that others may walk across.”…and look bomb.com in the process while wearing beautiful earrings.
